As far as jewellery is concerned, platinum rings were always more expensive.
Platinum is a lot cheaper than gold now, due mainly to less demand from car industry.

I value your opinion and would like your opinion on something which bothers me.
I have contact with a number of German friends who were raised after the demise of the old Reisemark. I have heard stories of people being paid with wheelbarrows of worthless paper money.
I know people who actually bought goods and stored them until trading after the war was recommenced. It made them wealthy.
In the light of this, I mistrust notes which say I promise to pay the bearer. I also mistrust ETFs.
I know nothing is safe but if stock markets collapse, you still have something.
I think PMs will go up further, then plan to topslice and invest into other low value stocks.
Maybe I mistrust cash too much.

I think today’s gold price is a factor.
I think that drilling and finding is a factor.
I think who the main shareholders are a factor.
I think the management team are a factor.
I think available finance is a factor.
Ticks all my boxes but dyor.

Lets not forget that this goldmine was considered to be profitable when gold was $1200 not today heading close to $2000. SP was same as today’s.
I have always been a bucket chemist with my workings.
Some say look after the pennies and it will take care of the pounds.
Personally I want a cash cow, may lose lose a few pennies but still a cash cow.
Oil can double, we could have got another dollar for selling gold.
Matters not, This is a cash cow imho
