Had a quick 100 share buy in gkp but came out again,I like the future pe /revenue /div forecasts for carclo at the movement. will have a small punt later

Already on my radar,I should really keep my old hl mags for ref, tipped by fund manager,my own buy in range was from 182p to sell at 200p ,but it has been as low as 170p on two low points in past 12 months.Im not desperate to change portfolio but in 170s might definitely reconsider.Also looking at v risky but potentially worthwhile gkp at current price, one post on it made me laugh and I recommended it .

I never said he wasn't, I just said it was a silly question,I think you had a previous name as well but whatever it was I can't remember and it's irrelevant to me. People usually change their username because either: a)they're forced to as a result of trolling. b) they're a victim of being trolled. I find myself getting quite analytical at this time of year of yearly performances.End of a third year now +25,+20%,+2.3% approx.The comeback from about 20% down by Sept to +2.3% present feels good. I just need to stop losing money in the summer months every year lol. The ftse 100 has finished the year about - 2 % from Jan 1st. Still lower than the 6950 peak fifteen years ago! Who would have thought it back then that supermarkets and banks would flop as investments. Hot , sounds like you've had an outstanding year Investment wise,well done.Do you calculate your yearly performances? I'm sure you could make a lot of money for someone like fidelity. Armani keep posting your macro European news and views,they provide an excellent indicator as to the short term future movement of the ftse index.It saved me losing too much on the drop yesterday!

I'm against QE at present,pushing share prices any further up in a ftse 100 that's already overpriced imo,will just result in a sharp correction when the market crashes.

Selling can occur anytime after purchase has been declared, further drops in oil price will push it back down I reckon.Anyway been busy jiggling my portfolio for a couple of hours this morning it's definitely not a precise science lol.About a third in shares and the rest in funds.Will post once transactions have gone through,Henderson the company not the fund we were in is a new one added.

Looking at the pattern of the ftse 100 chart over the past 20 odd years,if does look like there is potential for a 40% collapse, which is why particularly at this time of year I'm looking at different strategies . One thing I'm certain of is that you will be better prepared than most for a market crash. Hargreaves have royal london sterling extra yield bond in there conservative portfolio, this had a resilient comeback a year after the last crash.Unilever is another one I'm considering fairly defensive,good for long term.Slater growth fund another for the long run (10 years)
