Interesting presentation. I found it useful and it is well worth grinding through if you hold shares (I don't currently but I am considering buying back in for another bounce). Pretty dour duo but seem to have a grip on things. Lots of the usual belt tightening stuff but worth noting a potential contribution to distributable cash from the sale of property at a premium to current book value. They wouldn't be drawn on a question regarding return of surplus cash via buyback or dividends but they recognised that it should be on the radar. Their responses to questions at the end of the presentation were enlightening. CEO more direct than CFO.

The old trader - all this activity is not necessarily a good thing and to my mid, has been part of the problem. Just picking at random from your list, involvement in 82 projects in 14 countries is at best distracting (to put it kindly) when you are commercialising a new technology and only have 134 employees. Given the tech is still in the translational/scale-up phase, it is not a simple case of ship it out to the client site and it will "magically sort itself out". Tech support, project management, client liaison, report writing etc etc all require effort from the small team. Meanwhile, back at base, the sales/BD folk are coming up with even more bids and proposals, which require tech support, client liaison, report writing and so it goes on. The need for focus/prioritisation was recognised by the new CEO. Let's see if/how he acts on it.

Just watched the presentation on the Investor Meets platform. New Chief Exec comes across well (he settled down after a nervous start) and was happy to address the key issues head on. Made it absolutely clear that the focus is on hitting the financial forecast for the next 2 years. Yes, there are huge numbers being batted about in terms of the overall pipeline but he has instructed commercial staff to focus on getting near term contracts across the line. No point running before they can walk. What I found interesting was the high degree of visibility regarding the contracts that would take them to their forecast numbers. Stuff happens, as the saying goes, but he seemed pretty confident. Also interesting that he was stopping the engineers from constantly fiddling and tweaking. Yes they have a cost reduction strategy but he acknowledged that they need to get product into the market ASAP to demonstrate the tech/capability. At this stage in the life cycle, it is acknowledged that products are still WIP, which is why a lot of projects are partly grant supported, so it's not absolutely necessary to nail down every cost saving before you deploy. This work will carry on but not to the detriment of meeting time line expectations. He also recognised that a lot of work is required to rebuild shareholder confidence. Some of it was previous CEO falling on his sword, some of it will be improving comms but meeting or exceeding KPIs will be the priority. I was not hugely convinced by the commercial person (can't remember his name) but in such roles the proof is in the pudding - if he delivers the numbers, I for one will not give a hoot how he performs in meetings. Overall, the presentation is well worth a look if you hold the shares. As I mentioned previously, the last CEO spoke/acted like a Chairman. We now have a proper 'talk the talk' chief exec. Just need to see if he can 'walk the talk' now.

Ha, ha, Garonne. "Have you got the bottle" is the exact question I am asking myself. I bought some for SIPP and ISA in low 700s. Mulling over a far forward spreadbet now but keep glancing at the relentless decline in the 1 year chart.

Barclays raising their price target to 1340 today is yet another headscratcher. Intriguing how just about every analyst price forecast is on a totally different level and trajectory to the current share price.

Will be interesting to see how the markets react to this. Looks like the start of a good turnaround to me but profits seem a little shy of estimates, which from memory were in the mid to high £70ish million mark.

Just realised that many may not be familiar with the ghhghh moniker. Paul Curtis is a well known private investor. I think he posts as PaulCurtis here on LSE.

Small step in the right direction. The big test will be whether they can scale up to deliver products to the quality, timescales and budget required by customers. This inflection point is often very tricky to manage for companies with innovative technology.
