HIGHLIGHTS OF 2020
Commercial activities
- Signed commercial terms with Peel NRE whereby Powerhouse would receive an annual license fee of £ 500,000 for every DMG® facility built in the UK;

- Peel NRE Receives an Option to Enter into an Exclusive Agreement to Develop DMG® Technology in the UK and Announces Plans for 70+ Sites in the UK;

- Acquisition of Waste2Tricity Limited completed;

- Signing of the Heads of Terms for the first international application of DMG technology;

- After the end of the year, receipt of the revised declaration of feasibility from DVN for the improved DMG design.

Project progress
- Building permit granted for the first DMG application on the Protos site in March 2020;

the UK recycling industry says it does not know how to deal with a Chinese import ban on plastic waste.

The UK has shipped up to 500,000 tons of plastic to China for recycling each year, but has now stopped trading.

Right now the UK can't process much of this waste, says the UK Recycling Association.

Board chairman Simon Ellin told the BBC he had no idea how the problem would be resolved in the short term.

"It's a big blow for us ... a game changer for our industry," he said. “We've relied on China for our waste for so long ... 55% paper, 25% plus plastic.

China introduced the "foreign garbage" ban starting this month in an effort to upgrade its industries.
