Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
It's a long-standing issue with Halifax who have wrongly categorised RBD as an investment fund (a PRIIP) and they won't allow trading unless the company provides fund "product Information". If you want the shares, you will have to find another broker to buy them as this will be quicker than trying to move the boneheads. GLA
but I guess it must be time enough for this first post on the new MMM. Anyone out there watching it too? GLA
Hi Brox. As with all prospectuses, it is a liability document first and foremost and a marketing document only second. From what I can see and understand, this is a very well thought through project, meaning that the whole exercise is being managed several steps ahead of what is immediately visible. I expect there to be regular news flow and I reckon they are well advanced with funding discussions. The amount needed is not actually that huge in relation to the value at stake. The price will take a day or two to eliminate the arbitrage with ASX but I reckon the sooner you get comfortable, the happier you will be in the end. GLA
I was struggling to understand why grewber was down on buying Reabold when s/he had previously said that it was undervalued. Then I realised that s/he must mean that a strategic would not buy the whole company until EWT proves commerciality. That seems likely to be true. In the meantime, those of us who are interested in Reabold shares rather than buying the whole company can do so knowing that a significant re-rate will happen as soon as commerciality is confirmed beyond doubt. It's no longer exploration! GLA
You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. Unfortunately for LK, Columbus never got into a position to get hold of any eggs (cash). Together with BPC the multi-bag hope is still alive. Those who want steady Trinidad production can always switch to TRIN or TXP. GLA
History suggests that sellers emerge at every new level. If they can hold their water for once, then we can all move forward together and spread will tighten. GLA
I am not a holder but I listened to the presentation last night as I waited for TXP. There was a lot of information , but I think it came across well. If/when they re-instate the dividend for future years, then the share should re-rate back to the pre-Covid levels and it is then well positioned for any copper price recovery. I won't be investing as Kazakhstan is outside my scope, but it should be a good dividend payer in future with short term re-rate potential on top. It's a little bit dull as a business, so I hope management can resist the temptation to try to add another asset! GLA.
Previous equity fund-raising was at 4p, now these conversions are at 5p per share. Not many, if any, holders motivated to sell at current prices. Good to see it on the move a little. GLA
Early doors yet, but value is certainly there. GLA
The departure of a big name from the licence may not seem like good news, but VLU is not a cash-strapped oiler with no place to go. It will all depend on the shape of the exit deal. If we end up with 100% of the asset and all the data, then VLU’s asset base will be significantly enhanced. And if there is some form of dowry in the form of cash for funding commitments already made, then that would be the icing. I imagine Equinor’s decision is more about Turkey political risk management than a comment on the quality of the asset. GLA
This stock has been beaten up in Canada on Turkey fears and is now ridiculously cheap. Results out today and the numbers and associated commentary should give confidence. Valeura is a profitable producer with C$50m+ in the bank and a 10tcf gas resource to go after. GLA
Rathlin will continue to be the designated operator and will continue to be a separate company to Reabold. 75% (of Rathlin) x 66.7% (of the licence) = 50% and I think we will see RBD stay just below that net ownership level so as to maintain designation as an investment company for AIM purposes. Looks good to me. GLA
Looks like a couple of sells on 18 July killed off the buying interest that was emerging. Nice RNS and Proactive video yesterday might help to bring the buyers back. A lower spread might help too. All in good time.... GLA
