The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
"How many have since sold?."
For every seller there is a buyer. If those who got in at the discount are now getting out, and other investors are buying without brining the share price back to 16p, it signals they don't need the discount to see AFC as a viable investment, right?
From the looks of it AFC Energy will be part of the 2021 British Motor Show instead of the cancelled 2020 one.

''Whats on at the show?
Technology
The Technology hall designed to showcase the latest tech & answer all your questions, featuring;
The EV Zone – A collection of the latest Electric Vehicles together to compare.
The Technology theatre – intended to answer all your automotive related questions throughout the weekend.
Automotive infrastructure and tech suppliers.
The AFC Energy Alternative Drive experience – Test drive the latest Electric Cars at the show.''
I'm not sure that will be the case Daz. You can find a list of all the recent RNS' here: https://www.investegate.co.uk/Index.aspx?searchtype=-1&words=0. They do specify results over a period of time and results from one-off M&A activity, but I haven't seen any down payment come up
At least there is more traction and exposure than before

They have mentioned quite clearly what they're going to do with the money right?
''In particular, the proceeds of the Fundraising will facilitate:
· the multiple manufacture of new H-PowerTM fuel cell systems capable of deployment in the next 12-24 months to meet projected customer demand - combined 20kW and 160kW units are expected to be built, including the 160kW H-PowerTM system for trialling by ACCIONA in 2021;
· the employment of new manufacturing, product engineers and commercial staff in support of the deployment of H-PowerTM systems into the Company's key target markets (electric vehicles and construction);
· the development and implementation of its strategy for scale up of manufacturing and system assembly;
· an acceleration in the development of the Company's AlkaMemTM anion exchange membrane with scale up of manufacture and validation testing pre commercial deployment; and
· the delivery of solid-state membrane fuel cell system (HydroX-Cell(S)TM) for published target release date in 2022 which the Directors expect will open new markets.
In addition, the Fundraising will also support and finance the warranties required in connection with systems deployed into commercial applications.''
What do you expect them to do? Share the invoices?
Garonne,
I'm glad the interviews are not mentioning share price. In the end an executive is not there to please the shareholders and create shareholder value. If the share price would dominate the discussion the focus would not be on creating a viable product and closing deals.
Since we're talking about LinkedIn. It's good to see leads don't just have to originate from sales team activities at AFC, but can also flow in the other direction through positive exposure

Awesome AFC. Solivus likes the remote on-site hydrogen generation using solar - of course! Many of our clients wish to ditch those diesel generators. Well done AFC. Exciting. Looking forward to future collaborations.
The This is Money states "Though it is a commercial transaction and will generate revenues...''.
Somewhere else I read that Extreme E committed to the purchase of at least 1 unit. I am not able to find the source at the moment.
Daz,
I get where you are coming from. Press releases about hydrogen charging, their applicability, and the best intentions of companies out their dominate the news. However, it takes time to walk the talk. Keep in mind that when looking at the alternatives AFC is still miles ahead (I believe) . The barriers of entry are very high in this industry because of the high R&D and still lacking (but increasing) applicability.

I just checked out and it's not that negative actually. The article is very positive about the recent Extreme E collaboration and the marketing that will come from it, since it must mean there is something commercially viable there. The biggest negative is that currently there are no sales to show for to justify a high share price. Investors are betting on future success, instead of current fundamentals.

AFC Energy PLC (LON:AFC) has told investors that 2020 continues to be a transformational year for the international hydrogen economy. The company, in its interim results statement, highlighted its progress which included the successful launch of its electric vehicle (EV) charging solution, the start of product development for the HydroX-Cell(L)160 system and - in the current period - a £31.6mln cash raise to fund further development. “With unprecedented investment into the sector from both private and public institutions, AFC Energy remains focussed on the consolidation of its position as a leading developer of alkaline, zero-emission fuel cell systems," Adam Bond, AFC chief executive said in the results statement.

''I wonder what feedback AB is getting as to why nobody wants a AFC charging system after all the 500 odd roadshow interested parties have shown and yet no sales.''
I was reading up on this this morning. The charging system would be available from June 2020. However, I can imagine a lot of companies discontinued talks due to the COVID-19 situation. Btw I read that AFC would be present at the 2020 British Motor Show in August as the EV partenr for the event and providing EV charging with their systems. I reached out to them and asked whether the event is still on and AFC will be present
