My wife is still waiting for an order from Sephora, placed two weeks before Xmas. We currently have a protein order lost with women’s best also. All Evri logistics not the companies but it reflects
Golden - genuine question…. Your very knowledgable
And seem convinced ingenuity is a duff… do you think that THG internally have a broken calculator or have sub standard financiers ? Or is your take they are too proud and stubborn to admit defeat now at this stage ?
Steve… in a way you’re contradicting your own points. We talk about wanting whales but being limited to certain companies and stuck within the UK like Homebase, matalan etc
How do we attract whales without investment, infrastructure and putting huge growth into that process.
Two options, sit tight as is with ingenuity and be happy with Homebase or scale the **** out of it like they’ve been doing (OK we may cash burn & not show “profit”) and get Nestle, P&G, Diageo etc etc involved.
Everything they are doing is getting noticed worldwide, that’s the key
You don’t get a house revalued during renovation is the most simplistic way of explaining my thoughts above. It might not be clear during the process of what end value will be but on completion and fruition of the set plans = value
I think it needs to be considered that ingenuity isn’t always going to be in an expansion / growth phase. That capex and spend will stabilise once ingenuity settles into its rhythm. It’s young in its concept so I think now it’s pretty much at its peak expansion level as they’ve stated it’s now needing to grow into it. To retrace or backtrack on anything ingenuity has done or achieved is a complete nonsensical waste of resources and funds IMO
Golden that’s utter crap and you know it. Ingenuity isn’t something asos, boohoo etc have at all. They may have distribution and fulfilment but most do not have studios, end to end product creation, web expertise I could go on. But again, you know this so I won’t waste my time massaging your agenda driven rhubarb
Don’t see the point in slating each other. Everyone has differing trading styles or reasons. Personally I’ve found 2phevs informative, balanced and to me seems genuine (as in not a bit type weirdo) the same can’t be said for everyone. I value everyone’s input but doesn’t affect my own personal plan but extra info is useful
Pearls. I’d assume it’s all timing, leaving it to the last minute and driving down as far as possible like we’ve seen. Until positive results or update hopefully in January there is not enough buying pressure to stop them playing this up and down weekly to make money. I’m Hoping the weakness of the free float in low buying times becomes a strength as buyers gain confidence in retail & tech and specifically thg when there is a bit more clarity about the business / direction / accounting
