Zorb if you enquire with H M R C they will tell you it is a distribution not a dividend and tax is payable subject to the prevailing tax rules. All of this is moot if shares are held in an I S A.
Perhaps Glen will get a much needed boost to its share price if they release good or very good production figures on Friday. And then we will have to wait till 8th August to see if they have made loadsa money selling what they've dug out of the ground over the last six months. And if all is positive maybe we will get a small uplift to the second dividend due in September. G L A
If BHP or anyone else for that matter offered me a 50% premium to today's closing price then I would sell and be very happy to take my profit. Although I would miss reading the share chat on this board. A happy Easter to you all.
I remember working at M&B's brewery at cape hill in the1980's and 1990's it was a huge site and so easy to get lost trying to find my way out. Arhh happy days they also had another brewery at highgate walsall. The capehill site was sold sometime before 2007, demolished and redeveloped into a huge housing estate. That is the end of the history lesson for today.
Very .encouraging broker reports from Credit Suisse & R B C & Jefferies Over the last little while. Is now the time to top up one`s holding
Ade1234, where do you see this dropping to by say this year end, so I can buy in some more? This is still a brilliant company, highly cash generative and should pay a handsome dividend next year as well as reducing it`s debt to ~zero.
I think at these depressed levels any time now is a good buying opportunity. I am looking to average down from my original purchase price of £13.40 made in September 2021. But I am concerned that the whole market may yet have more to fall, so I might just dive in and hold my breath. Good luck to all.
