MRO did the same with GKN 8 months back , Mkcap was about 5 billion and they first offered 7billion sp rose 33pc but that was said to undervalued by the company so MRO came back with a 8 billion offer and share holers accepted.

Flybe's Turboprop planes are very fuel efficient on low altitude short haul flights, and with low fuel prices it will make there flights very profiatble now. They have to offer at least 35p- 40p as 40p was turned down even when oil price was very high and the uncertainty of brexit. Now a deal is looking like it will be done and it's a good trade deal so virgin know all this and there very clever.
In fact I'm sure if flybe were to hold on they would pull through this and be a very profitable company.

I love it when shorter's get stung big, I really can't understand why you would short a company that's in discussions with potential buyers.

Shorter's have to return There original buy as there borrowing investor's shares, it's a very risky thing as it can distroy your holding in no time.
