Can I just say, that I am completely bemused by all of this., and am having a great deal of difficulty following this saga,
I was away overseas from 12th October, and back during the course of last week. For my own part, I am at a loss to see why those mentioned as having been banned would have been, and can only assume that all of this has been completely blown up out of all proportion..... can anyone explain what this is truly all about?
According to the article in today's Sunday telegraph, it seems to be widely expected that Drahi will mount a bid in December.
As I understand it, Drahi, gave an undertaking that he would not mount a take over Bid for a period of six months from the time he acquired his 12.1%. That six month time limit expires in about 5 or 6 weeks. I would have thought that the closer we get to the expiry of that time limit, the greater the prospects of an increase in the SP - bearing in mind that it is now substantially below Drahi's buy in price.
I m at a loss to understand why the SP is as low as it is at the moment, and feel that we must surely see a significant rise very soon now
I would bet against 125
The SP is obviously continuing to drift lower, in the continued absence of any positive news. The BoD, are clearly devoid of any ideas as to how to arrest or reverse the slide in the SP. I have been critical of the Directors in the past - and remain so. I feel that only some sort of positive news will improve matter, but as long as the deafening silence from the BoD continues, or until they show some confidence themselves by buying at the current SO level, the malaise will continue, and the SP will drift further, and perhaps go below 100
For what it is worth, I think the performance of the Sp over the last 3 or 4 trading days, has been a classic, or text book example of the "buy on the rumour - sell on the news"..... The "news" at this stage in the GGP journey, has probably never been as good as it is now, and a lot of the previous uncertainties, or speculation have been removed. A week or so ago, the cognoscenti on here were pretty much all agreed, that it is the news or anouncement due in December, that will have a more meaningful or beneficial effect on the SP.
Let's all retain a sense of perspective..... we are better placed than we were a week ago, and we are still on course to add (IMHO) considerably enhanced Shareholder value. The announcement this week, is no more than another step towards the ultimate goal.,
