RE: Joint Action7 Nov 2025 16:12
I too am in the same boat as you owned Base Resources shares. HL have assured me that they are doing everything they can in order to resolve the issue and are contacting HSBC weekly asking for updates, but due to it being Equiniti's fault and error, who are failing to respond to them, there is very little more either HL or HSBC can do. As someone has already stated further down, HL have officially escalated this to HSBC, who are supposedly treating this as a top priority.
I have also raised an official complaint in order to get a final response letter which I can send to the Financial Ombudsman, and they have similarly to @speck, said it would take up to 8 weeks for that to all come through.
I recommend everyone in the same position do this with whatever company you hold the shares through, as the more we kick up a stink, the more they are to do something about it, as I don't know about you, but I'm well and truly fed up of not having access to my own damn money.
