I think the main point we can draw from it carats is thy he is holding the stock. If we see them sell it then it’s time to panic. Being awarded it at av 20p and holding says a lot….

HY results are out early next week. I’d imagine the shares have been issued and signed off by those privy to what the HY results say. I’d imagine some good news is on the way… call me a cynic…

Best guess at an opening price? I reckon the market makers will stick at least 8-10p on it which will scupper a good chunk of the fill or kills being placed tonight…

Your other points are sound and sensible.

I’m not sure a stock with an 8.7 Bn market cap can be “ramped” by anything meaningful on a forum such as this nor on the flip side is it credible to claim that you (BB) are on a one man mission to derail IAG :-)

Ultimately public sentiment will play a (small part) which is what we are seeing on the back of this news. BUT. Unless the institutional investors get behind this en mass we won’t see a significant upward movement beyond the next day or so.

Which really is the bigger question. If the institutions smell even a hint of financial fragility they will open so many short positions that it will be impossible to drive the SP upwards much from here.

Which is a shame as I have been invested since the 100p mark and want this to run as much as the next man.

Probably. Not a Rights Issue but let’s not look past the massive start up costs of getting this behemoth back up off the ground. No pun intended.

It’s a scheduled airline. It has to fly even if only at 20% capacity not the same as easy or Ryanair who can just can flights that don’t meet the loadings.

Some extraordinary finance is inevitable in blowing off the cobwebs, whether that comes from the bank, Qatari royal family or another source.

Seems to have lost momentum the last few days. Maybe the hysteria is wearing off. Big blue could be right. Refinancing is unlikely to be completely off the table… especially the longer this flatlines/consolidates.

Couldn’t agree more. Been invested for a long time now and it’s been nothing but good news since the debt for equity swap. I have occasional moments of self doubt thinking “what am I missing” as this share stagnates at the sub 2 p mark but we can’t all be wrong surely?

Even the Motley Fool is starting to smell a success story but caveats it with a "but what if disaster strikes" comment at the end.
Obviously any mine can hit problems but this shouldn't undermine the improving fundamentals.
