Continuing to progress Yaoure in a timely manner and the PFS due out mid-late April.
http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/Article49894.html With the Fed looking like it is wimping out on raising rates in June 2015 and the dollar index crashing back below 100 it looks like gold has bottomed and formed a double bottom. Jan Hatzius of Goldman Sachs now sees the first rate hike in September and last year GS was talking about a March or June hike. The strength we have seen in the dollar these last few months was based on expectations of rate hikes by the Fed so I think the FX/Gold market could get pretty wild as expectations of these rate hikes by the Fed dissipate. Don't forget that we have seen major market disruption in the September/October period in 2001 and 2008 so it looks like we could see some kind of financial market turmoil later on this year during the same September/October period. It could be that we have a seven-year cycle coming up then. Shemitah comes to mind. The price objective for the double bottom would be around $1460. Time wise I would say it could happen within the next three months.
Good opportunity to top up before the PFS is released...
here you go... ‘Now is the time to start talking about mergers and acquisitions,’ declares John McGloin, boss of West Africa-focused Amara Mining (AMA), as the company prepares for April’s pre-feasibility study on its flagship Yaoure gold project in Cote d’Ivoire. A former City broker, McGloin is naturally receptive to the idea of corporate deals at a time when share prices in the sector are notoriously depressed almost irrespective of the quality of companies’ assets and prospects.

Hi Lizzie, Very quiet board, so for those new to the table, good to show again. http://www.shareprophets.com/views/7975/amara-mining-a-real-rarity-a-quality-gold-stock-on-aim
I note this is your only post on this board, planning on dropping anymore negative posts. Any further questions on this, you may want to speak with Katharine Katharine Sutton Head of Investor Relations Katharine.Sutton@amaramining.com
Good volume today, PFS hopefully very soon...
Totally agree...however, will not be taking any out...steady rise till production and then BOOM! Im expecting very good news from the PFS next month, should see a good lift.
A couple of people have commented that there won’t be much newsflow this year now Amara are fully funded to the BFS (and beyond), but that is completely wrong, 2015 should hold some very exciting news flow for Amara. The next big announcement will be the Pre-Feasibility Study in March, then drilling results in Q2 and Q3 as they commence the 2015 programme at Yaoure and then the Bankable Feasibility Study, the biggest announcement prior to production starting, will be out in Q4. Oriel Securities initiated coverage of Amara last week with a BUY recommendation and a 30p target price (one of only 3 companies the new mining team chose to initiate coverage on – the other two being Randgold, which was a HOLD, and Centamin, a BUY) and GMP Europe increased their target price by 13% from 30p to 34p and maintained their BUY recommendation. So Robbie1980, when you say important news, I'd say the above is pretty important stuff for Amara this year.
Few weeks old but still an interesting read. Takeovers lift any investment portfolio and broker Peek Hunt has listed nine small to mid-caps that it suggests may be under new ownership in a year’s time. Interest is growing as the Yaoure gold project in Cote d’Ivoire moves towards the pre-feasibility study likely to be released in March. “It is rare that a project of this quality is in the hands of a junior mining company, and so it is surprising that Amara is trading on such a deep discount to our 32p risked asset value,” said Peel Hunt. Away from resources, fund manager Ashcourt Rowan (LON:ARP, target 234p) is improving its performance while takeover activity in the sector is also starting to pick up. The shares trade at around 1.2% of assets under management – an attractive valuation that could ultimately attract potential suitors. http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/76078/oil-groups-prevalent-among-peel-hunts-2015-bid-targets--76078.html
Great news, with Franklin's holdings increased substantially following the placing and they are a well respected, specialist mining investor so this is a positive endorsement for Amara. http://www.iii.co.uk/research/LSE:AMA/news/item/1381838/notification-interest-shares?context=LSE:AMA
IMO it would, but that will be a long time, 2/3 years, may even be longer period. I posted some details about this a few weeks ago....The Samsung debt facility was paid off. The relationship with them remains strong and by all accounts a meeting was held about 6 weeks ago. They’re very keen to do more deals with AM in the future as the purpose of the US$20m facility for Sega was to test the concept before they embarked on a larger facility, which could contribute towards the construction of Yaoure. A project of Yaoure’s size would take 12-18 months to complete so looking at first production in H2 2017, I think they would secure financing fairly quickly after the release of the BFS. They have proven this with the recent placing.
Annoying why does it do this, trades placed today, buys not sells, false information placed on Barclays site and other sites. How is this allowed to happen? 12:46 16.45p 60,790 £10,000 Sell OK 12:49 16.45p 60,790 £10,000 Sell OK
They are buying now because, IMHO, once the PFS is released in March this will move upwards considerable, as all evidence over the course of this year points to a positive report

Can anyone give any examples of a company releasing a successful PFS and what happened with the share price following this information being released.
Would be interesting to know if Buzle, is actually invested in AMA!
ha ha...well said!
I noticed your comment on here Wednesday morning, 10p you suggested, do you have any more wise words? I'm just looking at its current price...
