We would love to hear your thoughts about our site and services, please take our survey here.
The only options at present are cash out or have faith so let people choose - no loss to you either way as it’s not your money buying our shares!
Agree Jamrock guess we have a few more months to be patient! I’m guessing no more RNS this year as they could have added more in todays update but fingers crossed for positive update in early 2023.
He does get paid £300k a year allegedly so isn’t short of funds. All we want is a convincing commitment by him we are not wasting our finances. I’m still positive but need reciprocation
Amusing when people question things such as ask for proof of agreements in a neutral tone it’s called deramping! I note a lot of people here don’t fully read the threads just take any ability to question as being negative. Come on guys we are better than that and the simple fact is the longer we wait for news the mind wanders into negative territory. No one is asking FG for trade secrets or a false RNS just an update on timelines and seeing none of us appear to know FG well no one is right and no one is is wrong so let’s keep the debate light hearted - it’s almost turning into ADVFN.
The SP is down 10% today and if this was a ftse company most of us would have had a stop limit and bailed so you can understand tension.
Everyone invested here wants it to succeed so can you blame me or anyone if we sell shares at a time that is linked to our personal circumstances due to lack of updates ? It’s irrelevant if I sell the price goes down someone else picks up the shares then a release of positive news pushes the SP up it’s my loss not anyone else’s so why get so emotional?
Interesting to note in the past most on here tend to blame the MMS for the SP - this week we are blaming each other.
Agree Jambone but in the interests of balance given that everyone’s opinion is welcome who’s to say there won’t be an update for some time so we do what’s best for us? Nothing is fact except FG promised to communicate better with shareholders and hasn’t. NDAs yes but whose to say the miners looked at the software and walked away?
In short no one knows either way and the longer there is no concrete news that lifts the SP we draw our own conclusions. As mentioned several times before I genuinely would love this company to do well and appreciate its hard to predict but some milestones need to be provided soon to keep the faith amongst many of us which is reasonable.
Jambonehead let’s not get personal and make assumptions. I started in clp days and significantly added over the last year purchasing half my stock in the last 3 months. I’m not trying to prove anything just making an observed unbiased decision based on my own views. If FG is paid as much as people think £300k why hasn’t he repurchased the shares in good faith by now? I’m just concerned there has been absolutely no evidence of outputs and monies to date so set my own timelines. Why do disbelieve anything that is neutral or not seeing things through such rose tinted specs as you do? Don’t get me wrong the signs are there but everything is assumption until it is fact. Feel free to disbelieve my holding its via Barclays BTW it’s irrelevant I am just pointing out that there are people here with serious monies invested that could stand to lose a lot and if Qbt did not produce - you saying ‘whoops my enthusiasm got the better of me’ won’t bring the monies back if this is a dud! Which I hope it isn’t
Jambone, a little context here I am in for 9.5m shares and have been in since CLP days. Ironically I invested as a result of the court cases not crypto. When I say FG has another week is that the loan he took out to pay a tax bill matures this week so if deferred again proves to me that based on the current lack of evidence I need to reduce my holding as it is significant. Despite all the positivity and new neds until we have clear proof not speculation or upbeat videos, why would I not derisk so I am potentially only £50k down not £100k if it is all smoke??
Everyone is invested for their own means and strategy so I don’t appreciate your comments based on your own excitement and dismissive view of others without the facts!
I find this board an amusing read but as mentioned many many times an RNS with timelines and outputs is long long overdue so my view is based on personal circumstances and won’t be affected by any one individual now matter how judgemental they are!
What’s our feeling on if he doesn’t purchase the shares back at the end of this week and there is no supporting RNS? I have hope but it is finite and sitting on a large holding here that whilst I’m happy to gamble short term if no news this week I’ll look to reduce.
Addison we were suspended for a fair while as no contingency planning for a NED and let not speculate. ARB probably don’t play a part in our future so let’s not get distracted. If FG are as good as we all believe I am sure they are looking at forums and have all bases covered so wild speculation won’t help their strategy. I am still none the wiser on this week and DS Flats comments have a point so still 50:50 on this but fingers crossed.
Genuinely nice to see some balanced debate on this site with no petty comments. I too can see both sides of the discussion and feel if no RNS update that advises on clear results or direction is forthcoming before the 20th December then I will seek to de risk considerably 75% of my holding and accept the potential lost opportunity revenues. Fingers crossed though!
So in essence we give QBT 2 weeks before we start dumping all our shares as they either have to prove they care about collective shareholders or not and positive posting not backed up by a decent RNS is worth nothing.
Don’t get me wrong I would love this to all work out, but based on lots of talk and no evidence we have to make calls based on our personal situation and there are less risky opportunities out there even in the FTSE350 markets.
SSB I do find your comments on us handing money over to FG odd, as surely the first shareholders to buy into QBT did that so we are just handing money to current holders not FG unless he decides to issue more shares?? In short you could argue we are mugs for buying the share but FG doesn’t benefit directly from each purchase made as the shares are in issue already and not owned by him. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and your comments amuse me but as none of us know either way where the company is at until the next RNS, everything is assumption so I will make my own opinions.
I must say I do find all this random comments about trolling to scare people to sell shares and someone selling 4 shares to depress the market then buying back later an odd comment given trading fees and general availability across all platforms. I In short I have never had issues buying shares but the spread varies depending on availability. The ftse is up in general maybe because of markets and Russia advancing backwards! but until we have news there is no point making wild speculation. If the trolls are right then so be it if not then good for us and they will disappear but as highlighted before adding fuel to their fire with random comments and retorts isn’t going to make them leave so let’s just have a hiatus on comments until (hopeful) positive news transpires shortly.
I purchased about 800k shares across 4 tranches this week and can’t see them in any volume stats relating to my sales buy or sell so I tend to ignore individual trades.
A lot of energy being wasted on a news article that wasn’t relevant which is ironic given QBTs efficiency aims :-) . Guess we are all waiting for news but only rely on the RNS update which will be here when they are confident it is newsworthy rather than us wishing it were today. Good week all and fingers crossed for positive update soon.
I must say this was one of the quietest weekends on the forum, and whilst I find a lot of speculation pointless till we get results, I am feeling a calm before the RNS storm that hopefully comes. Nice to see nothing negative or petty coming out and fingers crossed on the next few months. I sincere believe FG pushing the buyback to mid Dec means he knows the SP will be comfortably north of that level then.
Loving the fact the SP is tanking today and the usual positive people aren’t speculating yet when it’s up by 3% lots of thoughts! As said before I’m heavily invested here so a little concerned on drop but hopefully news will come soon. Personally I don’t think half price mining costs for Argo in the form of algorithms will save them when Texas won’t let them mine at peak times, they need a new model in a country that has more stable bitcoin mining approach. Well that’s my view don’t want to appear negative, just realistic we go up and down and until any news is released the roller coaster SP will continue.
Agree with Eddie, it appears we are trying to estimate life expectancy based on 1 heartbeat! When the news drops SP will respond in double digits a few points here and there daily and speculation based on assumption not facts is a waste of energy. Suggest we all sit back, be patient and keep fingers crossed as the signs are positive. I’m invested to a fair degree here so want it to succeed but we need solid news not noise to keep us hopeful.
There is an AGM on the 22/07 so why are we expecting any news before. Remember although we are all financially committed we mostly purchased the shares from someone else so FG didn’t benefit directly from our investments. Let’s try not to second guess chip makers and nda’s as well as speculation. This share will either come good big time or it won’t and for the sake of our mental health let’s not obsess on the maybes as everything is assumption until it is fact as we can’t really influence anything at present unless we are bitcoin scientists then we should apply to work there..
Eddie agree with your comments and find it funny some people think FG is reading this thread or cares about it.
At the end of the day we are are all in this for different reasons but we hope it will come good.
I read todays news both ways so sold half my holding and invested in ftse 350 companies that are over 50% down so over 3 years time whatever happens I should net out if they recover ok. If Qbt goes stellar then awesome but I’m covered either way so have no expectations. None of us really have a clue until results are announced everything else is speculation. Fingers crossed for good news but we have to be realistic as I’ve been investing on AIM for a long while and it’s very hit and miss.
That was likely me managed to top up 900k across a few tranches - fingers crossed for good news and happy to wait if it is a big plus for the SP!
