Interesting that the leader text in the Shard report includes the phrase: "...will see the company become a producer..." which to me implies they'll be putting boots on the ground again. I haven't read the full report yet though, so may have misunderstood...

The market cap of this company is ridiculously low at the moment. I compare it to my other graphene investment, Haydale, and wonder how it can have a smaller market cap than them (also a v interesting company btw) when you look at the relative sizes of their assets...??

Even more interesting on that new PURA website Haggis: If you go to the dedicated Partners page at https://www.pura.go.tz/sponsor-links the very top one in the list is Ndovu Resources Limited - which of course is the Tanzanian trading name of Aminex! (Sadly the link is incorrect at the moment - goes to a Dun & Bradstreet website, not Ndovu/Aminex, but hopefully at least it shows intent, as they definitely didn't appear on the previous version of the website!)

As far as I'm aware (please correct me if I'm wrong) Scirocco still own 1.59% of HE1 (which I think they purchased at 2p and is currently approx 6.3p & worth approx. £820,000 at that sp) and 8.39% of Aminex's Kiliwani North 1 well (which presumably still has some value), in addition to the 25% of Ruvuma which they're currently in the process of selling to APT.
If they're really in the financial mess that some people on here seem to think they are, it seems odd to me that they're not apparently actively trying to sell these additional assets...? Or maybe I'm missing something here...?

Great news!!

The key passage for me is...

"The results of the initial 3D seismic processing and interpretation, to optimise the target location of the CH-1 well at the Cretaceous reservoir level, will be available by mid-March. Following a review by the Operator, the CH-1 well will no longer target the lower Jurassic zone. The processing of the seismic data is more than 80% complete."

...which to me says the delay to CH-1 is for all the best reasons, ie. that the 3D seismic data's ongoing interpretation is advanced enough that it has already indicated that there is a more optimal location/depth for CH-1 to aim at. To me this proves the worth of the whole 3D data gathering exercise - I guess gone are the days (well, for Ruvuma at least) of 'hit-and-hope' exploration drilling...

Overall, a nice bit of news to receive on a dull Thursday morning in early March... :-)

I notice H&W's market cap is still under £47m, despite apparently winning the lion's share of a £1.65bn contract and with a promised £77m refurbishment of their yards now on the way. Surely there's still value here despite missing the 5p boat (if you'll excuse the pun!).

Looks like APT have agreed to take Scirocco's share of Ruvuma. This is good news I would have thought...?

Those last four 1m+ trades - I suspect they were all Buys - may be lowly in the grand scheme of things, but for Aminex they're significant! Will be v interesting to see how tomorrow opens...

Definitely a 'Hold' for me now & long term I'm still optimistic about the company's prospects as there is clearly some tangible recent traction with their diverse range of products - here's hoping the Book Build is quickly filled tomorrow!
