Yes. Actually made money on that, by sheer chance.

I was invested in a company that owned 100% of its deposit. Couldn't raise enough money,so bought out cheaply by a larger company. Lots of people lost lots of money.

So ,yeah, there are advantages to JVs. After all, 30% of something is worth a lot more than 100% of nothing.

True. I'm up by about 30 grand this last few weeks, so I'm not complaining. My original stake was 2.5p, so almost quadrupled that. Things seem to be progressing quite nicely.

Two points. First, of course Gordon Brown sold gold at a fraction of today's prices. It was twenty years ago.

Second, gold had done nothing in the previous 20 years. There were far better places to put the UK's money, either paying off government debt, or assets that actually provide an income.

CtB, I was just being facetious, and I do agree with you to a point. We just don't have much of an idea what's going on down there just from one drill hole. We will just have to see what the other drill holes reveal to paint a clearer picture. It's encouraging news but I am still more interested in Haverion.

At the end of the day,we've found gold. How much, and whether it will actually be mined, we don't know yet, but it's a great first sign.
