The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
I've had these for years and got so used to seeing them at around 10p that I barely gave them a glance any more. Nice surprise today then :-) Must see how much less I'm down now!
The court threw it out folks, all systems go :-)
I've dipped my toes in at 0.25 for a punt, fingers crossed. Mcap seems low to me. Good luck all.
Can buy £2k at 62.9
Saw these a bit late this morning but still managed 150% profit. I suspect that news of this magnitude will propel them higher after a bit of natural profit-taking. Good luck to all, I'll be back in when it settles.
that was a big drop on a £600 sell. A bit sensitive innit?
Exactly hobione. When you look at such a company, you may decide that the SP is low because they have declining fortunes and an uncertain future. However, once you've bought into them then it suddenly becomes a great company with an artificially low SP and is just waiting for people to realise its potential :-) I bought In here based on my belief in the latter, but fully appreciate that the former may prove to be true. The dividends and the lack of bad news swung it for me, but when all's said and done it's a gamble.
Me neither fonters. Only came across them when I was monitoring risers & fallers. For an 'international' company they're big on the domestic market :-) 1300 employees so no tiddlers, but methinks they need to seek the services of a good advertising company. Sold some shares in a company that has lost 10% off its SP since, in order to have a punt here - so I'm no worse off in here yet :-)
Well their furniture looks decent enough. Maybe they should spend some of the cash on ads & publicity! Can't beat fitting out a major celebs home.......... Apart from that, I just can't see any logical reason for the SP to be this low. Seems crazy.
It's difficult to type when you're watching the SP drift with your fingers crossed :-) Never mind, straight lines are pretty rare and micro-tends mean nothing.
It's a nice change to be invested in a company that's not suspended. Here's hoping for a steady re-rate over the coming days & weeks. GLA.
Exactly DD, and they may bring it on as soon as they like :-) I guess the next few days well tell me whether I've picked a lemon due to investing before carrying out proper research. Reasonably confident at the mo tho.
Well I'm a bit new to this one fonters, but I can't fault your thinking. Some fine folks on here have been getting the dividends so the company must exist. Haven't unearthed any scary skeletons in the company closet so was also wondering why the suppressed SP? Investor confidence or big seller..........it does look more like the latter at the moment. I just love the 2 recent RNS's stating no known reason for the drops.
£2k at 6.4 for a punt. Fun times ahead, let's hope for a decent re-rate or the wife will make me pay for it many times over.
Lol, I think we could come up with a lengthy list of village idiots :-) Just tried a dummy buy and got 6.59, I'll wait a bit and either miss out or get them cheaper.
Cheers DD. Maybe I'll move some funds around while I read up a bit more and see if I fancy a punt. Oh no, does this mean I'm one the of the infamous herd? :-) Good luck everyone invested, always nice to see profits being made by others.
Morning chaps, happened upon this company whilst looking at share price movements. Barely started reading up yet but initial signs look promising in my humble opinion, and the divi is most bodacious. Either of you 2 gents invested here?
Thanks for all the replies. I've not had a problem before, so assume it was a glitch or trading volume that caused the problem. Ok, just tried another dummy buy and all is well. Cheers everyone and GL.
Thanks Hughsey, most likely just a problem caused by the excitement then :-)
Anyone know whether ASTA is ok for an ISA? Did a dummy buy earlier and it appeared not to be the case. I know not all AIM stock is permissable in an ISA so presume this is one of them? Cheers.
