Prop, DJ turned from a doom and gloomer into chief ramper and that encouraged a few more to be positive. the price increase is lovely to see, but i can't get excited about it until there is an underlying reason, PEPR, JV or Redmoor progress. PW has mentioned the LC financial analysis piece is taking longer than expected but that an update would be soon. that's a good starting point IMO.

we shouldn't mind new buyers replacing old sellers, gives people the opportunity to get out if they don't believe in a bright future, and perhaps we get a slightly happier message board!!

Positivity from the bod will get ****ged off a ramping. We need them to deliver what they have promised.

Thanks Pshy, appreciate you taking the time to respond. I’ve not worked for Capita for 4 years plus now so am behind with Sims and the edu market for sure. I’ll keep my eye on it. I know many won’t agree but the company was good to me for 10+ years and although not through my own intelligence when I took redundancy I cashed in my shares too - a sort of final gesture that I was free. That was at £12, I think and it was my retirement fund! I bought them all back a couple of weeks ago for £3k. Times have chances and I realise this is a very different company and world but hopefully one day my shares might pay me out again!!

Afternoon all, very rarely post on here, but have we any news on the sale of Sims? Is it still happening or do we just not know? i don't know anyone useful in the company anymore to ask, but from my time there i'd be amazed if there wasn't some real interest in it. Monopoly product with a very healthy margin!!

Evening Nexus, anyone who tells you they haven’t made all those mistakes too, is being economical with the truth. And guess what you’ll probably make them again, but that’s human nature. The other way is to do what some do and sell as soon as they make 10%, you find these people ramp and deramp. They are generally scumbag con artists trying to take money off you! Easy to spot. Imo best to buy a share that you believe in and stick with it.

Bitcoin, I love your positivity and I too am a believer. It’s easier to be a believer when you have a lower average. I totally understand some of the bitterness as at 2p+ we were promised the world. I’ve averaged down as much as humanly possible, but that of course means I have more in SML that is sensible. That’s probably why I’m a believer, people like Nickel aren’t worth engaging with, constructive criticism when you are invested is fine, but scummy trolling is just a sign of a sad life!

So another increase from one of our major shareholders, at the same time as the "joint" CEO's bought £400k worth at market price, a significant contract with distribution, a global brand comment, a presentation where we got to see the real brains, no placement required confirmation and even the trolls have left the LSE board. Having held all the way down to 4p, i hoped for days like these. The SP will be stated in £££'s soon not pence. The old chief derampers would have been rolling in 'diamonds' if they had held rather than waited for the 2p raise. never mind boys, i'm sure the girls love a man who can afford cubic zirconia just as much as real di4mond$$, I just hope you didn't take too many of the good guys on here down with your nonsense.

Also just to say, my experience of a shareholders group is where our 4p has gone from 4p and near bankruptcy to 40p today, not saying it’s because of us but we have very sensible conversations amongst ourselves a bit of fun and have a good relationship with the BOD! That might be luck but it’s been a bloody good experience.

Entirely your decision of course! Like I said earlier I’ve no interest in our group being disruptive, if I felt it was a lost cause I’d have sold my shares! I’m interested in seeing Sml well above 2.5p again not trying to start a fight!

We are at 6.753%, Bitcoin would take us to 8.4%, and there are lots of regular posters on here who haven’t shown an interest yet, for whatever reason, I’m not sure!!

Morning Bitcoinbuyer, I think you may have misunderstood the purpose of the shareholder group. It is to gain a voice and interact with the BOD in a positive manner that helps move the company (and of course the SP) forward. i have no interest in trying to remove any of the BOD, as whatever some on here may think, we do not know the detail, and lets not forget a lot of what is posted on here is by people with an ulterior motive that is against SML.

Let me put it this way, if you were the BOD, would you be more likely to respond to a request from me with 12 million shares or a request from a shareholder group with the backing of circa 200 million shares (10% of the company)??

One final point is that irrespective of whether this shareholders group gets off the ground, it will never affect you ability to contact the company direct. I'll admit here i've always found JP and PW very responsive and helpful in my conversations with them, i have no gripe with them, i do have a serious problem with the SP, which is fundamentally the issue.

Slurm, that’s really not for me to decide! I’ve purely offered to set up a similar group to the one I helped set up In hnr/Zoe. We held over 11% of the shares at one point and as a result had some good communication with the BOD, but be under no illusions you don’t get insider info!!

I have little interest in being the front man, I’m much better at the facilitating bit.
