Gsk seems to have a lot going for it at the moment that HIV is a big thing ...GlaxoSmithKline’s HIV division has welcomed the results of a trial that could see the drug regime of patients cut from a daily dose of three drugs to a monthly injection of two. ViiV Healthcare hopes that developing the two-drug products will boost GSK’s share of the $20bn-a-year market for HIV treatment, addressing toxicity concerns among people living with HIV by reducing the number of medicines they need to take. In the case of the injectable version, ViiV wants to be able to free HIV patients from having to take daily treatment.
