Inchcape are a cash rich superbly run business , 1st Q results were much better than forecast, they dropped from £9 to £7 makes no sense...... It's like playing the lottery sometimes. I share your frustration ....

If you have held these shares since the start of the pandemic and watched with interest you will know that we have been in this position many times before. If you have money to spare dip your bread if not, hold tight, they will come good. A semi positive narrative from the CEO on Q1 trading but nothing exciting, combine that with the dreadful timing alongside the BOE rate decision it was in hindsight inevitable, I got it wrong though, should have sold on yesterdays high and gone back in today @ £1.46, sadly we don't have crystal balls. Hold tight It'll bounce at some point again. Good Luck All

Just listening to LBC and consensus is at least a 100 point drop in the FTSE100 this morning. Let's hope it's not Rolls, but we all know how this share can roll. Hold tight .......

Well, in a way it did but more on the neg side.

Completely my observation as well, every time results are out something overshadows the news on the day.

Historically Rolls Royce has released good news only to be over shadowed by generic poor macro economic factors. Feels like history repeating itself yet again!

I would like to be a fly on the wall in the boardroom. The chairman / Lady is very quiet !

So Peteret, if you look at the RNS the shares were purchased at over £1.13 so pre speech price !

So Tufan comes in as a new CEO trashes the share price by giving a god awful speech and then is awarded free shares as part of his pay package. So trash the share price equals more shares to him.
They should sack him for that speech.

All I'd say is it's a good job they weren't purchased at £1.07 !
