With all respect safety, much of this current situation need have never arisen has Masterman produced his promises and got the mine into production in 2019 as originally promised. He has failed year after year and so now instead of having had 2/3 years of solid production sales and profit we are still not producing and now have the strike and costs issue to deal with. There is only one person responsible for this unmitigated F up and it’s Masterman. And as they said in Saving Private Ryan this is SNAFU and FUBAR.
Kindred spirit. Couldn’t have put it any better.
She can only be guilty on an ethical and moral basis. I don’t see that she has broken the law, merely used it. A lot of these people don’t even know how much tax they are paying and who to. They have teams of tax avoidance specialists to minimise what they pay…legally. Problem is she’s Mrs Chancellor and it ain’t a good look.
Another oversight! Oh I see. Sorry I thought it was the usual incompetence
Since when did the mine ever start working?
Basher not badger…damn autocorrect
So where do I fit in? I’m a genuine investor and a confirmed Masterman badger. Can’t you not be a genuine investor and p***ed off with the management. Or are only Masterman rose tinted spec investors’genuine’. Cos the £43k I’m probably about to lose is pretty genuine to me.
Snake Oil/Used Car Salesman. If this had been a ‘bad luck’ situation brought about by covid/strike/power cost I wouldn’t be so vociferous but Masterman has screwed every single LT private investor with constantly moving deadlines and his interminable broken promises. Cannot see any way back. No one who had a brain cell could possibly argue that he has done a good job.
Agreed. But this project should have been into at least it’s 2nd year of full and profitable production and it wasn’t and that is no one else’s fault but Masterman. He’s at the helm, he’s the one who has steered us into the rocks, maybe because he was asleep below decks and left an unsuitable captain at the wheel with an inexperienced crew. But this is now doing a good impression of the Titanic.
I wouldn’t put anything past Masterman. Wouldn’t surprise me if there is no intention of reopening. The man couldn’t p*** straight imo. Lost all faith and trust in the man a long time ago. Should’ve followed my instinct and bailed when I was only slightly underwater… now I’m almost drowning! I feel dis sorry for the many people in much deeper than me who have been suckered in by the persistent often incorrect rampers. People like GUG and Tungder were vilified and disrespected, despite being proven to have been correct, as were many others not in ownership of the rose tinted specs.
I’ve long thought this could become a pre pack with Masterman retaining some sort of an interest in the new company. Wouldn’t trust him an inch.
More pointless waste of time meaningless links. We are not a producing mine, we never have been in reality. The metals prices are irrelevant.
Yep for sure somebody knew something was coming. Us minnows are left to dry out on the bank. Some big money hanging on the outcome of this for some folk. Some have backed this perhaps with money they couldn’t afford given the ridiculous ramping. If I’d listened to it and not made my own mind up I may could have been in for a lot more. But as always dyor, don’t invest anything you can’t afford to lose and make your own decisions. Bailed out a bit just before consolidation, just cos I don’t think consolidations work out. If I’d cashed in the lot I’d have lost 33%. Now it’s looking pretty certain it will be 100%. It’s a chunk of cash that I could have bought a nice C Class with, But I’m a big boy so won’t cry. That doesn’t however stop me from calling out Masterman for his many failing in the project. If this falls over the buck stops with him. No excuses, this should have been up and running years ago.
You make your own luck. Masterman had badly managed this. Lots of things should have and could have been foreseen and avoided. If he’s got us into production as promised years ago we could have ridden things out. As it is I think we’ve all been screwed and lost our investments.
And as we realists have said for a while. This mine has never yet got near production. At least 3 years after it was promised by Masterman
I hope not too otherwise I’ve kissed goodbye to a lot of money but I fear it may be. You cannot lurch a company from disaster to disaster as Masterman has without at some point someone saying enough. What I really hope is that Masterman does the decent thing and steps away to hand the reigns over to someone who can turn this round. He’s had enough chances. Disasterman.
Looks like the end of the line.
Agreed. And if it does it will be years down the line yet. Big IF W Resources even survives the next quarter it will take all its efforts to keep the lights on at LP. I’ve forgotten all about any gold, that was another of Mastermans misleads. 1st priority is to even survive at LP and that, unless we get a highly improbable mind blowing Q1 report that is highly unlikely to come about. Face facts, this project has been mismanaged from the start. False assurances going back years. False dawns. Imo Masterman might be invested in this but he has most of his sticky little Aussie fingers in other pies too and maybe he can make enough out of those to walk away from W resources. He certainly seems to be keeping and exceptionally low profile and radio silence which given his propensity to get his face on Proactive Investor over the years speaks volumes. A true leader sticks his head above the parapet when things are not good to steady the ship and reassure. Not Masterman. I think he’s hiding in a corner somewhere rocking and sucking his thumb repeating ‘mummy mummy make it all go away’.
Given the unmitigated disaster that Masterman has overseen thus far I would hope that he would show some respect and get for figures out as a matter of urgency.
