I am a large holder of HSBA. Acquired them over the last few years, and although i have paid to much for some,the divi as been so reliable over that time i am well in front on my whole holding. I cant say the same for this shower some of mine cost north of eight pounds !! Although i think over time these will be on the same level as HSBA.If anyone is interested the way to take full advantage of this share is to reinvest all divis, to save large amounts on witholding tax. Shares bought at these depressed levels can only go up in price one would assume ? GLA. /

CrystalBallBroke i take from your postings that you are a very pessermistic chap??. To the poster who asked advice the crux of it is, the banking sector is quite depressed at this moment in time !!,to say the least !! So if you feel the need to invest in the banking sector stick to the multi-nationals BNC & HSBA if anyone will do well in this climate it is these, and both have held there divis for this year. There is also one more thing that could play into the hands of BNC. the withdrawl of HSBA.from Brazil can only be good for Santander. GLA.

Dont take offence mate , but you cant talk it up. The market was expecting bigger numbers and maybe a special divi these didn't transpire so this share will tread water. The same happend to me today with CCC.I got caught on worse numbers than expected and only a small rise in the divi The only difference is that they will probably payout a special at the end of the year due to excess cash. You win some you lose some GLA..

I dont know what to make of these results??views anybody, and i am sure them big trades that went thhrough were buys not sells. although i do expect a special divi at the end of the year?? cash reserves nearing last payout !! any views welcome GLA.

Yes totally agree with your reasoning but do yourself a favour and take your profits if you have any ?? another adage i learnt in the city "Take profits always" once they have gone you cant get them back but you can always rebuy the shares GLA.

Must agree numbers look fantastic !! But market not over impressed,?? something in the background not right?? Took my ten percent profit in three days, once taught years ago that fools are also greedy GLA.

If you bailed at 1.90 surely at these levels you should be jumping back in ?? NAV.@2.70 plus P/E 9.19 & an amazing divi payments in the last two years, in my opinion a screaming buy.

You can still trade this share, and if your in profit do yourself a favour and take your money, this company have lost in many deals just lately!! I took mine this am.!!
