I’d love to think that it was Newmonts and Newcrests plan all along., to takeover Ggp and it’s all backfired.
Maybe Newmont wanted all and approached Newcrest with you get Ggp and we’ll make you an offer. Time was running out, Newcrest was failing. We can’t buy the 5% that will increase value and we can’t accept 85M for it either. Newmont stepped in with two offers as now they are desperate for resources. It was not big enough for what they really know they have, right take a look in our books. In the meantime we’ll keep applying pressure on GGP SP.

IMO Newcrest didn’t accept the 85M from GGP because that would’ve shown the real value. I also think they did not purchase the 5% because that would’ve shown the real value.
