you have yet again misrepresented what re ​had said. he did not say that the drill results have come up ​with a 10mt​ resource. what re said was for a viable mine he thinks one will need at least 10mt m&i resource at good grade. you have to understand that this is a work in progress. the aim is to come up with a mineral resource estimate (mre) for the project. so, please wait for the mre.

finally, i would like to politely ask you to take greater care in listening to re's interviews before making your comments.

Why wouldn't KoBold drill?

The yet-to-be-answered all-important question is: "Will the potential to host a new world-class nickel deposit – analogues to Russia's Noril’sk Nickel District - become a reality at Disko?" The honest answer to the question is I don't know but the chances are high. I must ​also add that I don't know how to communicate my conviction that if Disko comes good, it would dwarf, in terms of value, all of JAY's other assets put together and much much more. First thing first though, where is that RNS confirming drilling at Disko in 2024?

I agree 100% and I am holding. RE has to walk the talk.

Rio Tinto was mentioned but the reality was it never became on board as a JV partner, why not? Even the smelter test agreed with Rio Tinto did not proceed and JAY made this statement in the RNS on 24 May 2021: "...the smelter test agreed with RTIT (Rio Tinto) was determined to be of lower importance as new options for commercial enhancement with additional customers had become available. Therefore, once the pilot plant has been restarted the portion of ilmenite assigned to RTIT will, at the very least, be significantly reduced from that originally envisaged to facilitate other customers."

Yes, Dundas was touted as the flagship asset. Unfortunately, the MRE 2023 downgraded the asset in tonnage and grade of the partial resource inventory which prompted JAY to conclude that Dundas did not present a viable commercial development opportunity.

On the other hand, Disko's prospects are built upon more than 35 years of legacy commercial data, a wealth of scientific knowledge for the region. KoBold's recent results have reinforced Disko's prospects. What we need now is drilling followed by lab results to confirm that Disko is a high-value district-scale asset.

LWHL - You say: "Disko is an interesting one. I do indeed think it could be an exciting prospect, but in the hands of this management team, based on history, I remain unconvinced that PI's will get any rewards."

I was not at all surprised by your response. In fact, I expected your reply to be along that two-pronged line. That is, (a) The exciting prospects of Disko's potential asset value and (b) The ability of management to bring that value to the surface.

You cite Dundas, which in my opinion was a fiasco. That said, there is a huge difference between Dundas and Disko. Dundas did not have a smart partner with big money whilst Disko has and if KoBold decided to drill Disko it would get drilled. And If it gets drilled, and the ground value is confirmed, then the share price would rise significantly, just based on that factor alone. I have decided to take that gamble.

In his interview on 6 September 2023, Rob Edwards said JAY hoped to update the market of the 2024 plan for Disko towards October 2023. What we had instead in the RNS on 21 September 2023 was KoBold's 2022 fieldwork results, minus the plan for 2024. This is what RE said in his 6 September 2023 interview:

 "... we’ve been in conclusive and deep discussions with our JV partner KoBold Metals about what to do in the coming exploration season (2024). So we are approaching a consensus on what that should look like for the coming year (2024) because we recognise that there hasn't been much activity around Disko this year (2023) because it took a long time to sift through the data which was gathered from the 2022 field season, but we hope to update the market towards October (2023) time on what the plan is; we still have a year and a bit to run the agreement. There is still a budget to put into the ground. We have to decide how we deploy that budget for next year (2024)..." - (7:00 mins into the video) - https://tinyurl.com/2s4ky2y7

So, although RE may have been somewhat premature with his statement that he had hoped to announce the 2024 plan for Disko towards October 2023, it appears KoBold's geologists, however, decided to spend more time fine-tuning the drill targets for 2024. No harm whatsoever in taking more time so that you hit the right targets successfully than hitting the wrong targets and failing. After all, for KoBold their reputation comes above all else, but let's hope we don't have to wait long. I have noted with interest you think it could be weeks at the most.

At the 2020 AGM (​where shareholders were able to attend remotely by dialling in​)​, when Rod McIllree was asked about the relative size of JAY's assets, his reply was: "In terms of potential and geological prospectivity, certainly Disko is the one I think the most significant we have.” As for Rob Edwards, he knows a thing or two about nickel as he was a non-executive director for some nine years at MMC Norilsk Nickel (or Nornickel), the world’s largest producer of nickel and palladium. Since joining JAY, RE has been talking repeatedly about Disko being a district-scale Tier 1 asset. More importantly, KoBold's results from their extensive 2022 fieldwork announced in the RNS on 21 September 2023 confirmed the prospectivity of Disko with nine new targets, in addition to known targets.

Looking to the future, what I am expecting to see soon is an announcement of a meaningful drilling program at Disko in 2024 (e.g. 9 to​ 15 drill holes) followed by assay results soon ​afterward. If the lab results were to confirm Disko’s potential to host a new world-class nickel deposit – analogues to Noril’sk Nickel District​ - the share price would fly to dizzy heights in no time. Here is a recent example of how a share price can react to a stunning discovery. When Empire Metals discovered high-grade mineralisations last month, the share price that was as low as 1.8p at the start of 2023 hit a peak of 11.3p soon after the RNS announcements. I can reconfirm reliably with 100% confidence that Rod McIllree did buy shares on 25 April 2023. I know the number of shares purchased (they were in the millions) and the price he paid but it would not be right for me to disclose the information as it's too much of a private matter. The transaction, however, did not require notification under DTR 5.1.2 as it did not cross the next threshold to move up to 8% for reporting purposes. I can ​reliably confirm I am not RM. For a start, I don't hold 75,820,635 shares! You have lost the £5 wager but owe me a drink instead, which you can buy at the next AGM!

RE's first interview was on 5 December 2022. So he completes the 1st anniversary of that interview on 5 December 2023. More importantly, he raised shareholders’ expectations with this statement in that interview: "I hope to instil a level of confidence into our shareholders and stakeholders in the broader market that this portfolio will change shape and move up the value curve next year (2023) and beyond." - (3:30 mins into the interview) - https://youtu.be/Isw6tXl1VzQ

Unfortunately, the reality is the share price was 5.02p then and it is 0.74p now - an 85% decimation of share price value since the interview. Looking ​to the future, will RE live up to his words before the end of 2023? He has a few more trading days left to deliver. I kind of think that there could be a 'possibility' of the deal(s) with the strategic investor(s) being sewn up this coming week (by Friday, 8th). I would not put it any stronger than that - so please don't hold me to it or ask why I think so.

It has been a torrid year for RE and shareholders (I am nursing a huge paper loss). Let's hope all that changes for the better with the dawn of 2024.

I am sure you have good reasons for being so confident that Rob Edwards 'WILL' deliver. When was your last contact with RE?

In addition to delivering one, preferably two, strategic investors before the end of 2023, there is one other matter where RE has nailed his colours to the mast by raising expectations - namely drilling at Disko in 2024. Here are a few relevant statements on Disko since RE's appointment as Chairman on 25.10.22:

14.02.23 RNS - Strategic Review: "The final decision on the shape and nature of the 2023 campaign is ongoing, and the programme will be outlined by KoBold. Both parties are committed to developing the best and most effective programme possible for 2023 and beyond." Sadly, no fieldwork took place in 2023.

29.09.23 RNS - Interim Results: "The updated results at Disko increase our confidence that the Company is in possession of a potential world class asset and we will know more in 2024.

The last three items informed shareholders that both JAY and KoBold are committed to instituting a program for Disko for 2024, that drilling is a priority, and shareholders will know more in 2024. In the interview with Sarah Lowther RE talked about exploration in Greenland being a little bit tricky due to the ​harsh climate and that the company has to be well organised about the exploration season​s because they are quite short. So when will we know in 2024? I suspect it will be in Q1 next year. RE has to deliver drilling at Disko in 2024​, otherwise his professional credibility would suffer badly, given the ​above statements.

​I know that JAY is a high-risk/high-reward stock. I also know that JAY has some excellent district-scale assets (Disko and Kangerluarsuk) in two good jurisdictions (Finland and Greenland). I have invested heavily in JAY and these two factors (assets and jurisdictions) keep my hopes alive about strategic investor(s) coming on board and drilling at Disko taking place in 2024. Time will tell.
