WPP Acquires Canadian Digital Marketing Agency

LONDON (Alliance News) - WPP PLC said Thursday it has acquired Twist Image Multimedia Inc, a Canadian creative digital marketing agency.

The media buying giant said the deal strengthens its position in Canada and continues its strategy of developing services in new markets and sectors and strengthening its capabilities in digital media; WPP has set a target of 40-45% of revenue to be derived from digital in the next five years.

No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.

Shares in WPP were trading marginally higher, up 0.63% at 1,282 pence per share Thursday afternoon.
