Workspace gets go-ahead for office development

Office provider Workspace Group has won approval to redevelop a site in south east England, potentially creating 150 jobs.Workspace secured planning permission to redevelop Enterprise House in Hayes, a 50/50 joint venture with Polar Properties.The group plans to refurbish the building to create 38,000 square feet of small business space, with a focus on creative industries, together with 98 apartments. At 31 March, the company's stake in the joint venture was worth £3m. Chief executive Jamie Hopkins said the development would be near a station on London's planned new Crossrail east-west railway."Enterprise House is one of a number of properties, in similarly advantageous locations to Crossrail, which Workspace is redeveloping," he said. "This is part of our wider redevelopment programme to enhance both core operational income and capital values by re-positioning properties."Shares had climbed 0.39% to 617.38p by 09:02. NR Workspace
