LONDON (Alliance News) - WideCells Group PLC on Wednesday said Non-Executive Director Peter Presland has stepped down from the board with immediate effect and it has ended its dealings with Align Research.
Shares in WideCells closed up 26% at 0.43 pence as the company undergoes a radical transformation.
Preland departs the company "in order to pursue his other business interests", having sat on the board since December 2017.
WideCells also announced the termination of its engagement of Align Research, also with immediate effect, due to a change in strategy and the arrival of its new team.
In March, WideCells announced its intention to create a new division focused on marketing and move away from stem cell research. It has shaken up its board, appointing its new new chief executive and new chief business officer from social media publisher Unilad Group Ltd. The company intends to change its name to Iconic Labs PLC.
