UPDATE: Third Point Hellenic sells Energean shares for GBP104 million

(Alliance News) - Stifel Nicolaus Europe Ltd said Thursday that Third Point Hellenic Recovery Fund LP has raised GBP104.4 million through the sale of 12.0 million shares in Energean PLC through a placing at 870 pence per share.

Stifel Nicolaus and Peel Hunt LLP acted as joint bookrunners, and the shares sold reflect a 6.8% interest in the FTSE 250 oil & gas firm.

Following the placing, Third Point Hellenic now holds a 9.6% stake in Energan.

Shares in Energean closed 4.7% lower at 887.40 pence on Thursday in London.
