UPDATE 1-Destin's Mississippi gas plant work done, lifts force majeure

NEW YORK, July 23 (Reuters) - Destin Pipeline Co LLC onTuesday said it has completed emptying its Pascagoula,Mississippi, liquid handling facility, and has lifted its forcemajeure effective on Tuesday and was accepting nominations onits natural gas pipeline system.

The company said in a notice on its website that it wasaccepting nominations subject to a Destin ramping sequenceacross connected platforms based on the company's riskassessment of potential liquid movements.

Destin also said it would be contacting each offshorereceipt point to communicate instructions for startup. Thestartup of some platforms may be delayed, the company said.

Destin on Sunday declared force majeure on an offshoreportion of its pipeline system and said it would not be able toprovide service through the Pascagoula gas processing plant.

Earlier Tuesday, the company estimated that work on theprocessing plant would be completed on or around midday onWednesday, July 24, versus a previous completion estimate ofJuly 28.

The 225-mile Destin gas pipeline system is majority-owned byBP Plc's Amoco Destin Pipeline Co, with Enbridge Inc's Enbridge Offshore owning a 33 percent stake.

Trading sources told Reuters on Monday that BP's 250,000barrel-per-day Thunder Horse oil production platform in the Gulfwas shut while the work was done at the Pascagoula plant.
