UK EXECUTIVE CHANGE SUMMARY: ITV CEO Replaces Sky's On Burberry Board

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of London-listed company director and manager changes announced on Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

Burberry Group PLC - luxury goods - Senior Independent Director Jeremy Darroch will not stand for re-election at the forthcoming annual general meeting on July 15 due to his other executive commitments. Darroch, the chief executive officer of pay-television provider Sky, joined Burberry's board in February 2014, becoming senior independent director in July 2017. Burberry said Carolyn McCall, who has been an independent non-executive director since September 2014, will become senior independent director, with effect from mid-July. McCall has been chief executive of broadcaster ITV PLC since 2018, prior to which she was CEO of budget airline easyJet PLC. Burberry on Friday reported revenue of GBP2.63 billion in the 52 weeks ended March 28 compared to GBP2.72 billion the year prior. Pretax profit dropped to GBP168.5 million from GBP440.6 million year-on-year on impairments. The luxury fashion house said it was performing well prior to the onset of Covid-19, which resulted in store closures.

Kier Group PLC - construction and infrastructure services - Kirsty Bashforth will step down as non-executive director at the November annual general meeting, having served for six years.

Concurrent Technologies PLC - embedded computer boards - Adds Brent Salgat to board as an executive director. Salgat is the president of Concurrent Tech's North American subsidiary, the largest single contributor to group sales. He has been with the company for 14 years.

Golden Rock Global PLC - Jersey incorporated special purpose acquisition vehicle in fintech sector - Appoints Sanjay Nath as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Golden Rock discloses that Nath was a director of Supagroup Ltd when, in September 2011, it entered a voluntary creditors liquidation owing GBP635,000.
