(Alliance News) - Trident Resources PLC on Monday said it has appointed Mark Potter as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Potter - who has over 14 years' experience in natural resources investments - currently serves as the chief investment officer of AIM-listed Metal Tiger PLC, a natural resources investment company, and is the founder of Sita Capital Partners LLP, an investment management and advisory firm. Potter is also a non-executive director of Thor Mining PLC, Trident said.
Following the appointment of Potter as a non-executive director, Sam Quinn has stepped down from the company's board of directors, Trident said. Quinn will continue to act as Trident's company secretary.
"The breadth of Mark's industry knowledge, investment track record and access to capital will both complement and enhance the skill set of our board," said Trident Non-Executive Chair James Kelly.
"I would like to express my gratitude to Sam for his service to the company, particularly for his assistance in the establishment of the company," added Kelly.
Trident shares were untraded in London on Monday, last closing at 18.00 pence each.
