Thomas Cook repays €400m bond

Travel operator Thomas Cook has repaid its €400m bond, the company said on Monday.The aggregate principal amount of the 6.75% notes redeemed was €284.5m and follows the purchase earlier this year of €115.4m aggregate principal amount of the notes via a tender offer, the FTSE 250 group said.The group, which last month announced it had refinanced its banking facilities, said the bond repayment was in line with its objectives to reduce debt and improve its capital structure.Thomas Cook shares were down 0.29% to 146.17p at 08:15 on Tuesday.
