Spirax-Sarco Engineering's COO ups stake

Spirax-Sarco Engineering announced Monday that its Chief Operating Officer, Nicholas Anderson, acquired 1,550 shares in the group at the end of last week. The shares were bought for 2,902p each for a total of spend of £44,981. Anderson, who took up the role in August, now owns a total of 3,160 Spirax-Sarco shares. He is set to take over as Chief Executive when Mark Vernon retires. Earlier this month the group said it was confident it would make ?good progress in 2013 despite challenging conditions in its mature markets of Europe and North America. The British engineering company, which makes pumps that are used by a range of industries including bakeries and dairies, reported organic sales had risen 4% in the four months to the end of October, in line with the sales growth it reported in the first half.
