Severn Trent Poaches Capgemini Chair Christine Hodgson As Own Chair

(Alliance News) - Severn Trent PLC on Wednesday said it has appointed the current executive chair of Capgemini UK PLC as its own chair.

Christine Hodgson joins the FTSE 100-listed water and sewage firm's board as a non-executive director at the start of January, before succeeding Andrew Duff as chair in April 2020. She also has been appointed as a member of the Corporate Responsibility, Remuneration, and Nominations committees at Severn, and will be chair of the Nominations committee once Duff retires.

At present, Hodgson is executive chair at technology and professional services firm Capgemini,, having previously been chief financial officer. She will leave Capgemini once she becomes Severn Trent chair.

Shares in Severn Trent were down 0.5% at 2,224.00 pence in London on Wednesday morning.
