Seplat Hires Former Enterprise Bank Chair Onwuka As Finance Chief

(Alliance News) - Nigerian oil and gas firm Seplat Petroleum Development Co PLC on Friday announced the appointment of Emeka Onwuka as chief financial officer and executive director of the company, effective August 1.

Onwuka has more than 30 years' experience in financial services in Sub-Saharan Africa and was formerly group managing director & chief executive at Diamond Bank PLC and chair of Enterprise Bank Ltd.

The board of Seplat said it was "confident that the wealth of knowledge and experience Onwuka brings will be a great addition to the company".

Seplat shares were up 3.9% at 60.80 pence each on Friday afternoon in London.
