Sensyne taps Derek Baird to lead North American expansion

Fri, 13th Nov 2020 09:25

(Sharecast News) - Clinical AI company Sensyne has tapped Derek Baird to take on the role of North American president as the group looks to advance its expansion into the region.
Sensyne said on Friday that Baird will begin his tenure with the group on 1 December and will focus on driving the commercial development of its North American operations, building its presence in the US and recruiting a local team.

Baird will join the AIM-listed company from AVIA, where he served as senior vice president for growth.

Chief executive Paul Drayson said: "I'm delighted that Derek is joining the Sensyne team.

"His extensive experience, combined with a deep knowledge of US healthcare technology and US health systems, will be invaluable as we further capitalise on what we have already achieved in the UK by driving forward our expansion into the US and building a transatlantic business."

As of 0925 GMT, Sensyne shares were up 8.11% at 120.0p
