Rathbone Investment Management Holds 5% Smithson Stake After Deal

(Alliance News) - Smithson Investment Trust PLC on Friday said Rathbone Investment Management Ltd held a 5.0% stake in the small and mid sized companies investor after a deal.

Rathbone Investment Management held 5.5 million shares in Smithson, equivalent to a 5.03% stake. Any previous holding was not disclosed.

Shares in Smithson were up 0.7% at 1,220.55 pence in London on Friday, which would value the 5.5 million shares at GBP67.1 million.
