Qualcomm turns to Imagination

Mon, 23rd Apr 2012 08:12
Imagination Technologies Group, the system-on-chip intellectual property developer, has signed a licence agreement with US mobile technologies giant Qualcomm. The statement from the Hertfordshire head-quartered technology firm was coy about the nature of the contract, saying it was for certain intellectual property (IP) from Imagination's Ensigma universal communications co-processor broadcast, communications and connectivity IP family. No details of the financial value of the deal were released but the market took an optimistic view, with Imagination's shares climbing 17p to 699.5p in the first 20 minutes of trading.
