PRESS: Senegal Investigating Gas Licences Now Owned By BP - FT

Thu, 11th Jul 2019 07:47

(Alliance News) - Senegal is looking into the government's award of offshore gas licences, the Financial Times reported Wednesday.

These include gas finds which now belong to oil major BP PLC, with the licences changing hands "several times" before reaching the London-listed oil major, the FT said.

The brother of Senegal's president has resigned from the government over allegations he received payments from a company which originally secured the licences, the FT said.
