PRESS: Funding Circle Appoints Banks To Prepare Possible London Float (ALLIPO)

LONDON (Alliance News) - Peer-to-peer lender Funding Circle has hired four banks to prepare a London float which could value the firm at more than GBP2.00 billion, Sky News said on Sunday.

Funding Circle, which already has a presence of the London Stock Exchange via Funding Circle SME Income Fund Ltd, has appointed Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Numis Securities Ltd to lead the proposed listing.

An initial public offering, Sky News, is expected in the second half of 2018 and would see it raise hundreds of millions of pounds.

Funding Circle, which launched in 2010, has matched lenders to tens of thousands of small business borrowers?, facilitating loans totalling more than USD5.00 billion globally during its seven-year existence, Sky News said.
