(Alliance News) - Balfour Beatty PLC has lined up former ITV PLC boss Charles Allen as its next chair, Sky News reported on Wednesday.
The construction firm is in advanced talks to name Allen as the successor to Philip Aiken, Sky News said.
An appointment could be announced as early as Balfour's annual general next week Thursday, Sky News added.

Allen has not served on the board of a London-listed company for over 10 years, having stepped down as a non-executive of grocer Tesco PLC in 2010.
He left ITV in 2006.
Balfour Beatty shares closed up 0.6% at 314.20 pence each in London on Wednesday.
