NORWAY GAS-Flows up on higher flows to Britain, Germany

* Norway gas exports total 281 mcm/day * Supplies to Britain firm by 5 mcm/day OSLO, May 21 (Reuters) - Norwegian pipeline gas exports toEurope rose slightly on Tuesday, with small increases in supplyto Britain and Germany, data from gas system operator Gasscoshowed. Deliveries to Europe including Britain were up to 281million cubic metres (mcm) by 0807 GMT versus an average of 274mcm on Monday. Supplies to Britain, Europe's biggest traded gas market,firmed by 5 mcm to 59 mcm, still a low level, with flows throughthe 72 mcm Langeled pipeline running at 28 mcm. Combined deliveries to Germany and the Netherlands edged up4 mcm to 142 mcm, while those to France slipped by 2 mcm to 43mcm. Exports to Belgium were steady at 37 mcm. Norwegian gas output is expected to be reduced by 54 mcm perday from May 23 until July 12, likely due to maintenance atStatoil-operated Troll field, analysts at Point Carbon,a Thomson Reuters service, said. Statoil does not disclose information on individual fieldmaintenance. Also from May 23 until June 2, gas output from Shell's Ormen Lange gas field could be reduced by 10 to 36 mcmper day due to maintenance, they added. The Nordic power exchange has previously said powerconsumption at Nyhamna plant, which processes gas from OrmenLange, could be reduced to 60-110 megawatts from a normal 190MW. Norway's export figures are based on gas fed into the systemat a certain time and calculated to a daily average. Volumes canvary throughout the day as producers adjust the amount of gasthey pump.
