Monitise revenues surge

Monitise, the global mobile money specialists, said it anticipates at least doubling revenues, and potentially significantly more, in the year to June 2010 as it saw sales in the current year surge.Pre-tax losses for the year to June 2009 came in at £13.1m against £13.9m before on revenue that surged 80% to £2.7m.The group said growth is accelerating and it believes it will exceed one million customers by the end of calendar year 2009."Monitise starts its new financial year in a position of strength. We have some of the world's leading organisations as partners and investors, a strong financial base and a truly world class team of people around us," said the group.Monitise said its strategic alliance with Visa endorses its approach and provides it with opportunity for growth."The momentum in the business underscores our confidence in delivering both a strong business and financial performance," added the group.
