Minds + Machines Client Gets Sole Application For .Broadway Domain

LONDON (Alliance News) - Minds + Machines Group Ltd said Tuesday that its client Celebrate Broadway Inc has secured sole application status for the top-level domain .broadway and it will therefore not have to compete with other companies for the domain.

A top level domain name is the suffix of an internet address such as .com or .net which are designated to approved organisations by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

ICANN has only allowed a relatively small number of domains until now, such as .com, .org and .gov. However, changes to the rules governing domain names means that a slew of new names will be allowed.

Minds + Machines will act as a registry service provider for the .broadway domain, and will begin advising Celebrate Broadway on the next steps ahead the launch of the domain.

Shares in Minds + Machines were trading up 4.6% at 11.90 pence Tuesday morning.
