Interserve stays resilient

Tue, 12th Jan 2010 08:36
Strong performances from its UK public sector and international activities helped services, building and maintenance group Interserve shrug off challenging conditions in the UK private sector to continue sealing revenue-boosting deals. It has won more than £350m in contracts since November, including a £30m contract for industrial services at oil giant Shell's facility in Qatar and a £70m contract to design and build a young offenders institution in Leicestershire. The group continues to take action to reduce costs where necessary, 'in what is expected to remain a difficult economic environment.''The board continues to believe that the group is well placed to deliver resilient near-term performance and sustain long-term growth,' Interserve said.
