InterContinental Hotels Hires JLL's Arthur de Haast As Non-Executive

(Alliance News) - Hospitality company InterContinental Hotels Group PLC on Friday announced the appointment of JLL senior director Arthur de Haast to the company board as an independent non-executive director, effective from the start of next year.

JLL is a professional services firm specializing in commercial real estate services and investment management.

de Haast previously served as board chair and global chief executive officer of JLL's Hotels & Hospitality Group. He is also a member of JLL's global sustainability board.

Patrick Cescau, non-executive board chair of InterContinental Hotels Group said: "I look forward to welcoming Arthur to the board. He brings more than 30 years of relevant capital markets, hotels and hospitality experience, along with significant board-level knowledge around sustainability.

Shares in InterContinental Hotels Group - headquartered in Buckinghamshire - were up 1.1% at 4,808.00 pence on Friday in London.
