(Sharecast News) - Healthcare software and simulation specialist Intelligent Ultrasound Group announced the launch of GE HealthCare's SonoLyst software, powered by its 'ScanNav AI', on the new Voluson Signature Series portfolio of ultrasound machines on Friday.
The AIM-traded firm said SonoLystlive would significantly enhances ultrasound image recognition by automatically capturing images in real-time during mid-trimester scans.
Using practice guidelines from the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), the AI software autonomously identifies anatomy, captures images, and verifies them against the required views list.
The streamlined process would reduce the need for manual freezing, annotating, and storing images, leading to a reduction of keystrokes by up to 65% and exam time by up to 40% for sonographers.
As part of the offering, SonoLystlive would be a standard feature on the Voluson Signature 20 and available as an option on the Voluson Signature 18, ensuring accessibility and versatility across the product line.

At 0900 BST, shares in Intelligent Ultrasound Group were down 4.69% at 8.34p.
