Informa Starts Search For New Chair, Replacement Expected By End-2020

Tue, 07th Jan 2020 11:45

(Alliance News) - Informa PLC said Tuesday it has started the process of finding a successor for Chair Derek Mapp.

The events and publishing company said the move follows its integration of smaller peer UBM, allowing Mapp's replacement to focus on growing and expanding the company.

The new chair is expected to be in place by the end of 2020, following a handover period, Informa said.

The process is being led by Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Gareth Bullock.

Bullock has been a member of Informa's board since 2014, having previously served on the board at Tesco PLC and Spirax-Sarco Engineering PLC. Before that, he was an executive at Standard Chartered PLC, in charge of the lender's Africa, Middle East, Europe & Americas operations.

Shares in Informa were 0.4% higher in London on Tuesday at 855.20 pence each.
