Witan Investment Trust PLC - listed company investor - Despite its portfolio being adversely affected by the economic shock following the first Covid lockdown, performance of the trust has "significantly improved", with net asset value return in absolute terms being up in the year-to-date.
Majority of the earlier underperformance has been recouped, with outperformance in each of the last six months.
Looking ahead, 2021 is likely to have a subdued start due to current lockdown measures, through several tailwinds are expected to accelerate recovery during the year. These includes vaccinations, record low interest rates and increased spending on infrastructure and "green" measures.
