Vietnam Enterprise Investments Ltd - launched in 1995, VEIL offers exposure to the Vietnamese stock market - Says net asset value at December 31 was USD8.67 per share, up 3.6% from USD8.37 at November 30. Adds that it purchased a total of 5.7 million shares in 2023 for USD40.3 million. Looking ahead, forecasts 2024 gross domestic product growth of 6.0% to 6.5%. Portfolio Manager, Dien Vu says: "The VNI has started 2024 well (up 2.3% as of January 25 in USD terms) and we believe the company will benefit from the anticipated return to growth in overall corporate earnings, bolstered by sustained fiscal spending and a conducive low-rate environment."
